Description of the project:

Students will learn about the culture of European countries through children literature. The project aims to promote the patriotic values in the literature of partner countries. The students will have the opportunity to read texts and increase their comprehension skills. The project uses the literature in order to achieve its main goals. Teachers will know the new pedagogical methods and strategies using in partner countries to improve the teaching and learning of literacy skills.
The children will become better users of the ICT, since they will have to contact their friends from the partner countries and they will also have to accomplish several tasks by using multiple technological means, a task that will prepare them to live in the advanced technological society.
The project also aims to provide all the necessary modifications, so that children with special needs will be able to actively participate in the project.
Through the project, the students will be motivated to learn foreign languages. The project gives emphasis to learning a foreign language from the very young ages. Not only they will have opportunities to interact in another language, but the students will also increase their cross-cultural understanding via indirect means.
